Our Amazing Team

Julian Cordero
Co-Founder and CEO
Julian is the type of guy who reads royalty clauses for fun and turns chaotic music deals into organized masterpieces. As the founder of Cordero Law LLC, he’s spent over a decade representing Grammy-winning multi-platinum artists and producers, handling everything from high-stakes contract negotiations to publishing splits.
In addition to his law firm, Julian also created his own publishing administration company, Augmented Music Publishing Inc. where he administers works by artists like A Boogie, Rod Wave, NBA YoungBoy, Lil Durk, Lil Baby, and Anuel.
After years of watching his clients wrestle with misapplied splits, as well as his own problems administering publishing royalties through outdates systems and spreadsheets, Julian realized something: the publishing world needed better software. Enter Splitpea. Julian handles the vision, legal structure, and industry connections. He’s also the reason Nick drinks so much coffee and is stressed out all the time.

Nicholas Gati
Co-Founder and CTO
Nick is a full-stack developer, systems architect, and — by necessity — Splitpea’s unofficial Head of Coffee Procurement. He’s spent years building complex apps across various sectors, always with a focus on creating products that make hard things feel easy.
At Splitpea, Nick turns royalty chaos into clean code. He’s responsible for the platform’s architecture, automation, and making sure it doesn’t fall apart when Julian decides to come up with a brilliant-but-impossibly-complicated feature. The amount of times that he has said “that requires a database restructuring” would have you thinking that Nick hates Julian. Despite the chaos, Nick wouldn’t have it any other way. He’s obsessed with solving complex problems elegantly — especially when the result is giving real publishers tools that actually work for them, not against them. He writes code with empathy, designs with purpose, and yes, keeps the espresso machine running at max capacity.
